Dec 15, 2008 Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of wheat, malt, and oranges, as well as light notes of spices. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of spices and oranges, leading to a dry wheaty finish. Thanks to Papsoe for sharing.

Dry finish with some phenols. A very decent Hefe close to authentic German examples of the style. 131108

Jul 11, 2009 Labeled as Hefe"R" Weissen, complete with Holsteins in sunglasses. Heavily hazed golden color with a diminished white head. Aromas of wheat and heavy esters and phenols. Bananas, cream and raisins come to mind. Wheat and pale malt start. Bananas flavors work their way into the middle. Not a clean banana, rather one that’s set on the counter a few days too long. Earthy and sweet in the finish. Slightly cloying and thick on the palate. Finishes with a bit of vanilla and cream of wheat. A bit to thick and chewy for me.
