Commercial Description:
Pale Ale's on the coasts of this country are turning into hoppy monsters, but our beer is more mild, and about balance. It has enough bitterness to match the maltiness provided by the pale malt base. It gets its citrus zing from extensive dry-hopping with Cascade hops. This beer was first made in a few small test batches in 2003. The response was so incredibly positive, that it has worked it’s way into a year round beer. A hoppy IPA in the central plains... how exciting!

On draught at the Millstream Brewhaus in Eastern Iowa airport. This beer is a clear bright copper color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Thick rings of lacing. Aroma of citrusy hops and sweet malt. Medium body with flavors of hops, citrus fruit and bready malt. The finish is moderately bitter hops that lingers for a bit. Above average overall.

12oz shorty bottle. Deep burgundy-brown with a big, foamy off-white head. Sweet hop-laced dark malt aroma. As advertised, has a touch more of a malty side than your typical IPA. Earthy, with a solid bitterness that balances out the thick, creamy, almost brown-ale like malt body. Very sessionable stuff while still retaining some quality depth. Dark IPA.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Flavor of brunt biscuits and heavily charred creme brulee. Lively sort of acidic mouthfeel with medium weight and lingering finish.

Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Highly carbonated. Yellow orange pour. Very pleasant aroma. Has some fruit with a bit of spice. Nice taste. Grainy with wheat tones. Pretty good!

Bottle thanks to bullzeye. Pours a nice looking copper with off-white head. Aroma is malty, soap, some grapefruit, faint caramel. Flavor has some fruit, caramel, grapefruit, little pine, nice bitter. Mouth feel is medium body with medium-high carbonation. Overall, a pretty tasty IPA...

Pours a bright translucent orange-amber colour with a full foamy white head. Lots of froth (which i liked) and nice amount of resinous lacing. Aroma was noticeably malty for an APA. Taste was pretty sweet with a firm rich maltiness running through it. Finished up a little stale on the hop side. Maybe an old bottle? Maybe just an unbalanced APA.

Pours a coppery amber and has a little head. Light to medium body on the palate and tastes of bready hops with a tad of citrus. One of my more likeable pale ales.
