Aroma of bitter Cascade hops. Flavor is mostly pale malts with some cardboard. I don’t know if this bottle is past its prime, but only a hint of the bitter hops remained in the finish. Kind of bland tasting. Not bad per se, but I wish it was a little more flavorful. pineypower (1096), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA

Some citrus hops on the aroma. Taste is well balanced, some citrus hops and sweet malt notes going on in the background, slight hop bite on the finish. Skyview (4057), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA

Pours a semi-clear coppery amber brew with a thin and fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a thin white ring. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus zest, and a touch of grassy hops. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of dry caramel malt, citrus and piney hops with a slight fruity background. Finish is semi-dry with a mild bitter and a fruit aftertaste. Flavor is mildly hoppy with some smooth maltiness. Decent finish. Not bad, especially for an Iowa beer. nearbeer (1842), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Dark tea color with a two-finger head that lasts and leaves some crunchy lace. Spicy pecan and scorched sugar aroma. Tastes of peaches, pecan pie, and just enough resin citrus and oak barrel to balance. Light-medium body is softly carbonated, smooth and slightly dry. Unique and highly drinkable IPA. No real head and an extremely light lacing. The aroma is not complex or extreme, but some spicy hop and floral notes. The flavor is very straightforward. Malty at first and bitter most of the way through the aftertaste. Grassy, slightly citrus, pretty hoppy. Light bodied and smooth. I really appreciate how direct this beer is. They don’t do anything crazy and keep it pretty simple. A great session beer and very enjoyable. Very balanced too. fish1877 (2), Iowa City, USA does not count | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 12, 2008 Bottle. Not as hoppy as most IPAs. But well balanced, as advertised. Very pleasant. Hits the spot. masonjer (564), Holt, Michigan, USA

Smell was fairly bready. Flavor was fairly bready as well, some nice backing hops, but I think malt took the lead with this one. Still a decent amount of hops.
