Amber pour with a nice small white head. Aromas were malty and bready. Flavors were subtle but very nice. Malty with a tad of hops. Nice. dchmela (1458), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 30, 2008 Thanks to Pepsican for this and packing materials. Pours out a nice copper color with a thin white head. Hoppy slightly doughy aroma. Taste has a nice malty backbone and is balanced with a nice amount of hops. This is an easy drinking ipa that is not an over the top hopbomb. Tasty. durhambeer (1227), Durham, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 27, 2008 Say... this is tasty. Thanks, pepsican Bright amber pour with minimal head. Malt and fruit (apricot/peach/citrus/etc.) on nose as much as hops. Bit of a wood/outdoor aroma as well. Really pleasant aroma. Taste doesn’t follow through as much as hoped, though still quite good. A bit metallic, a little grainy, more malt, hops, and a little less fruit. A bit spicy and a bit soapy. Seems a bit closer to an American pale ale than IPA to me... in a good way. Closest analog I can think of is Dale’s. Very tasty beer. Exceeded expectations. ChainGangGuy (2613), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 14, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, amber body with a small, white head.
Smell: Pale maltiness with a touch of caramel and a spicy, woody hop scent.
Taste: Pale and caramel malts with a light sweetness. A bit woody, spicy. Medium bitterness. Finishes bittersweet.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: While nothing to hop up onto the furniture and start screaming at the top of lungs about, it’s still a solid beer. In my opinon, though, it’s better suited to being an APA. Gooney (63), Oregon, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 12, 2008 12 oz from Hy-Vee - Looks like a beer I would want to drink! Smells nice. Mouth tingling. Taste buds dancing. Although it wouldn’t win an India Pale Ale competition, it is surprisingly good! decaturstevo (2010), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 10, 2008 Very malt aroma with a hint of hops. Slightly hazed orange pour. A pleasant bitter, not alot of malt but a hint of some papery thing on the finish. Than and a bit foamy. Nice finishing bitter not much malt a tad off balance to me. stefanje (951), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 29, 2008 12 oz bottle from pepsican. This beer pours a cloudy brown color with a small cream head. The aroma is relatively light with citrus and vegetables. The flavor is subtle with weak malts, hops, caramel and rye bread. The mouthfeel is full and smooth with lively carbonation. The finish is long and dry with lingering sweet malts. Overall: A very session-able pale ale, recommended drinking on a hot summer day. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 26, 2008 An amber apperance with a beige head. The aroma contains some oats, caramel, and lemons. The flavor is a bit malty and dark for an IPA but hey why rock the norm right? Anyways some bready notes, toffee, with a bit of citrus like lemons and grapefruits. Overall this was ok at best
