drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 25, 2009 Had this a couple of years ago, and it was nothing special, so no wonder they got rid of it. Fear not, they just brought back their crappy "pilsner" to replace it. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA Dec 25, 2006 Octoberfest Coloring with Sandy Head. Sweet Malty Aroma...Very Subtle.. Sweet Malt, with a Light Hoppy Background....Very Bitter Finish... On the Darker Side of Pale Lagers but Good Session Style. wunderbier (1264), Tampere, Finland Aug 26, 2005 Thanks again heemer! Light ruby hue with a small, off-white head. Toasted dark bread, cereal, caramelized pale malt. Light herb hops. A little nutty with hints of butterscotch. Light sweetness thoughout with a crisp finishing bitterness. Acidity is a touch stronger than I’d like to be tasting. Above average carbonation is spot on; medium body with a watery, nearly creamy, texture. JPDIPSO (4863), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Mar 2, 2004 Light amber color with a moderate yellowish head. Some lace. Light pale malt and mild floral hops. A touch sharp and earthy in the finish. I do believe these brews maybe improving. jde123 (715), Washington, Washington DC, USA Feb 20, 2004 Not too original yellowish haze, decent body, nice for an american lager. better then most actually. I would recommend it. Strykzone (1458), Wood River, Illinois, USA Dec 18, 2003 Perhaps it is because lagers are so difficult to identify. This beer I found equally difficult to rate. My sense is that it was a disappointing beer by both flavor and aroma. The trouble is that neither are easy to determine why. Instead of making the effort, maybe I will just go get another brand of beer. ARMed (485), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 13, 2003 Horrible brew. tart, tangy and undrinkable. This could be a bad batch but the beer was aweful! mkobes (2103), paramus, New Jersey, USA Nov 25, 2003 Enjoyable brew. Creamy head. Complex in flavor. Hoppy and malty, Well balanced. A good brew.
