The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and straw. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of caramel and straw, leading to a lightly bitter finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing. It was the most amazing beer ever. I talked to the brewer and he told me he finished it Saaz hops. I have been trying to duplicate this beer at home ever since. esjaygee (1537), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 19, 2008 12 fl oz bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a lacing white head. Mild spiced and malty to breadish aroma. Spiced and hoppy flavour, dry breadish malt base flavour. Distinct spiced into the finish, breadish malt finish too. kramer (2465), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 29, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear straw yellow body, small fizzy off-white head. Lots of carbonation. The nose is very grassy with a bit of toasty maltiness. Toasty malt dominates with a decent amount of residual sweetness. A lightly bitter hoppy kick on the back end with a very prevalent alcohol flavor. Medium bodied with a slight stickiness in the middle before the alcohol heats things up on the finish. This just seems a bit too simple and boring. Why is the alcohol flavor so overpowering in just a 5.5% ABV beer? Ceebs25 (237), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jul 22, 2008 Bottle. Fairly light aroma, better than any average american lager, some bready pale malt, light citrus lemon. Pretty weak pour, light bubbly white head, dissipates fairly quickly, no lacing, but the color is decent, copper-amber, some fiz. Malt flavor dominates this light bodied beer, sweet and nut grainy malt, not complex, bitter shows up and the very end, some lingering thats ok. All in all, I’m not too crazy about this one, but is was nice to drink.
