| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 22, 2007 Pours an amber/orange color with an initially robust white head that soon reduces to just a thin cover. Aroma is sweet caramel malt with some tartness. Caramel and maple sweetness in the flavor along with hop flowers, citrus, and some bitterness. Pretty decent effort. Head was fluffy and off white with good retention and lacing. Aroma was of husky grain and light citrus. Slightly sweet on the tongue with a very smooth mouth feel. Medium bodied. Tasted of fresh malty cereal grain and light sprucy hops with a touch of milk chocolate and honey. SledgeJr (2963), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 23, 2006 Updated: May 11, 2007In the one quart flip cap bottle from Cyclone Liquor in Ames. pours orange amber with a white poofy head. Doughy sweet aroma with evident coriander. Flavor has a rich maltiness with even a splash of chocolate. Tastes a bit like a tootsie roll. Pretty good.
UPDATE 5/2007: Just had the dryhopped version of this on cask at the Millstream Maifest. The brewer added crystal hops to this and it TOTALLY changes the flavor profile of the beer. I would never think of this dry hopped version as being a german style beer at all. Tasty, but stylistically wacko. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 15, 2006 From a 12 oz. stubby twist cap brown bottle with a notch bottling date along the right side of label.
Poured a hazy orangey amber with a foamy off-white/beige head that settled into a thin lacing.
Aromas of toasted grain framed by caramel malts, bready as well, a subtle light fruitiness and softly floral, herbal hops.
Good carbonation and a malty crisp, dry, velvety smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Delicious malty taste, toasted grains, a light sweet caramel, bread and honey, with spicy, herbal hops cutting the malts from underneath, a light warming of alcohol towards the end and a dry toasted malty finish.
Good, easy drinkability, highly quaffable, another quality German style lager from Millstream, a must try.

Bready, yeast aroma. Citrus, lemon and orange. Bready malt flavor. Slight cocoa. This is nice. Great light malt character. Finish is slightly bitter with a lively sticky sweetness. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 17, 2006 12oz bottle via trade with Duane! - Thanks Duane! - Pours amber with a short white head that fades pretty quick. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, and some spicy hops. Flavor contains caramel, and other toasted malts. But it is mostly dominated by the spicy hop finish. Smooth buttery palate and a somewhat dry finish. Enjoyable! thegreenrooster (1841), St.louis, Missouri, USA

I hope this is right since there is no other lisitng to a maifest lager. Pour is orange with a white head. Aroma is decent with notes of toasted malts and some hops. Flavor is also decent, tons of caramel malts and some brown sugar. The best beer by this brewer by far.
