It was the most amazing beer ever. I talked to the brewer and he told me he finished it Saaz hops. I have been trying to duplicate this beer at home ever since. NeonLX (258), Wisconsin, USA

Medium copper color with a fine light tan head on first pour. Very malty and almost sweet in flavor. Super smooth palate & appropriate "heft". Enjoyable from start to finish. heykevin (1269), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

Full noble hop aroma. Firm hop bitterness. Quite malty, nice honey notes. Sweetish in the finish, but balanced nicely by the firm hop charge. This is an excellent spring bock. brewess (43), Iowa, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 10, 2004 Enjoyed this on tap at the brewery and a keg at home. Clear amber, with a small white head. Both hop aroma and bitterness from the noble hops present. Malty with a touch of sweetness in the mouth. Finish is balanced. A fine example of a maibock. Bready, yeast aroma. Citrus, lemon and orange. Bready malt flavor. Slight cocoa. This is nice. Great light malt character. Finish is slightly bitter with a lively sticky sweetness. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 15, 2006 From a 12 oz. stubby twist cap brown bottle with a notch bottling date along the right side of label.
Poured a hazy orangey amber with a foamy off-white/beige head that settled into a thin lacing.
Aromas of toasted grain framed by caramel malts, bready as well, a subtle light fruitiness and softly floral, herbal hops.
Good carbonation and a malty crisp, dry, velvety smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Delicious malty taste, toasted grains, a light sweet caramel, bread and honey, with spicy, herbal hops cutting the malts from underneath, a light warming of alcohol towards the end and a dry toasted malty finish.
Good, easy drinkability, highly quaffable, another quality German style lager from Millstream, a must try.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | May 17, 2004 Updated: May 20, 2004Very enjoyable, refreshing maibock. Slightly less sweet or full tasting than Capital’s take on the style. Appearance might suggest otherwise, with an almost syrupy pour, a gorgeously deep color of copper, and a head of creamy foam head that slowly subsides into a soft layer of suds. Aroma is plentiful though not overly striking--fresh and slightly grass-like. Malts are nice, very German, with some caramel notes, and I notice the cherry another reviewer mentions. Hops come up just enough to balance the sweetness. If it’s not my favorite maibock, it’s still very good.
