clear amber, wispy off white head, munich malt aroma with a hint of sweetness balanced by earthyness, rich malt flavor, only a hint of sweetness from the malt is quickly balanced by a big earthy presence,

Pours a transparent copper orange with a small, frothy off-white head. Aroma of sweet toasty German malts with a touch of earthy noble hops. Body starts fairly full and sweet with some doughy toffee and mild chocolate notes. A pretty good oktoberfestbier.

Bottle courtesy of CanIhave4beers. Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of caramel and light citrus. Tastes of caramel and earthy with a hint of bitterness and some touches of honey sweetness on the finish.

A decent Oktoberfest, pouring an orange/copper body with a diminutive white head. The aroma is toasty and filled with a malty sweetness. There’s a slight surge of caramel in the middle, but the flavor retains that toasted malt taste that I enjoy in the style. The hops are nearly undetectable and there’s a slight twist of lemon in the finish. The carbonation is a good palate cleanser. Nice.

Light brown color with a tan tead. Starts with a tutti fruiti/vanilla aroma. Sweet dark toffee flavors. Way too sweet.

Tried again in 2008 and ht equality has gone downhill a little bit. There is still that honey finish, but a little more pear core and it is annoying. Aroma is sweet with a touch of caramel and apples. Also has a hint of hay in the background. Relatively large white head. Very deep amber with an almost neon orange highlight. The taste is fairly subtle with grass, toffee and some nice honey in the finish. Overall a fairly thin, but decent fall brew.

Picked up single 12-oz bottle from Brennan’s Country Farm Market in Brookfield, WI. Pours a semi-clear copper amber brew with a thin, creamy fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of light roasted caramel malt, some fruity character, sweet citrus hops and a touch of roasted nuts. Taste is medium bodied, caramel malt, some salt water taffy, and a light fruity character. Finish is semi-sweet fruity, with little hop bitterness.

I’ve had this a number of times. Copper color with a nice lacy head. Spicy nose and flavor with a hint of bitterness. Crisp finish. Pretty standard, but good.
