Commercial Description:
Pilsner is simple, and yet complex. Its not easy to make a beer pure enough to really let the hops stand out, but that is the goal of our pilsner. We use Czech Saaz hops that are a delight to the senses and impart an arousing aroma and satisfying flavor. The end result is a full bodied beer that has a pleasing hoppy aftertaste.

On tap at an Amana restaurant. Has a big, bulky and thick white head on top of a lively, bubbling yellow body. First taste is sharp but thick, with frothy yeast and pillowy, dense foam overtaking the senses. Full, extremely fresh and lively, with some perfumy hay and lemon notes throughout. Grainy, almost vinegar sharpness at times up the nose, it’s a very well-made fresh and delicious pils that I imagine loses some life in bottles. A really, really good pils.

Courtesy Degarth. Pours out of the bottle a very pale lager looking body with a soapy snow white head and some lacing. No retention. Soapy hops, dishwater, sweet grains, adjuncts and wet cardboard come through on different whiffs of this beer. It doesn’t smell good and unfortunately it tastes almost exactly like it smells, with some added skunkiness thrown into the mix. Light bodied, bordering on watery but staying just outside. Lengthy finish, sweet grains, grassy hops and caramel malts. Blech.

Poured a straw yellow with a half inch head that dissipated, leaving a bit of lacing. Smell is grassy with a bit of floral aroma as well. Taste is grassy upfront with a more floral finish to it, very clean and crisp. Mouthfeel is light and refreshing. Drinkability is pretty good, very sessionable, and a very good lawnmower beer I would say.

Picked up single 12-oz bottle from Brennan’s Country Farm Market in Brookfield, WI. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a fine film and white ring. Aroma of light bread malt, some flowery hops, and some fruity character. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation, swmi-sweet fruity, bready malt and a mild bitterness. Finish is semi-sweet at first, then a lingering mild bitterness and a herbal aftertaste.

Appearance: Pours a pale, straw yellow body with a bubbly, full white head. Smell: Light aroma of faintly bready malt, damp hay, and flowery hops. Taste: Light malt flavor that’s only barely bready and a single drop of sweetness. Hint of hay. Soft notes of floral hops. Finishes dry, with a very light bitterness. Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Watery texture. Drinkability: An average pilsner at best.

Somewhat hazy, golden body, and a very thin head. Hardly any lace can be seen, and that’s a real disappointment. The aroma is pleasant, but not more than any other decent pilsner. The flavor is rather good ( the Saaz hops are quite noticeable), and the aftertaste is indeed very palatable. I would imagine that this beer would pair well with many foods, especially the snack and sandwich type.

12 oz bottle thansk to Iowaherkeye. Thanks Joey. Pours a mostly clear golden yellow with a nice tight lasting medium whit ehead. Aroma is corny gritty, pils malt, crackery, yet still pretty fresh and has some light herbal hop hints. Lighter flavor with more cracker, pils, bread, and some corny grits- light bitter and crisp finish. Good pilsner, but not great.

hazy pale yellow, fine white head, lots of tiny bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass, specks of lace, light grainy aroma with light floral hops, rich cereal flavor, plenty of earthy bitterness, only a hint of sweetness from the malt,
