This is a really odd pilsener, exhibiting some traits that are nothing like most pilseners. Sweet, tropical, fruity (melons), very floral and fairly grassy overall, it also shows some grainy maltiness and a very mild bitterness. A slight off-flavor of apples and soap is noticeable as well. Flowers, melon, grass in the nose. Light bodied, well-carbonated, very summery. Pale straw in color and slightly hazy, the body is capped by half an inch of bubbly, snow white head that shows decent retention by holding onto the thin layer and wide ring for the duration of the session. Meh, not my kind of pilsener, too floral, not nearly malty enough. hopdog (5614), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Aromas of grain with light grass and light malts. Tastes of grain with a light grassy/hoppy finish. Thin and somewhat water body that finishes clean. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 22, 2005 12 oz bottle. Moderate snow-white head, quickly dissipating, atop a slightly hazy light gold body...unfortunate skunky pungency overwhelms light graininess that might have been pleasant, this from a seemingly fresh brown glass bottle too, sad...somewhat better in the body, typical sweet malt reacting against tough Saaz grassy bitterness, but again somewhat hurt by the skunk....really reminds me a lot of your average too-old Czech pils that’s seen the light too much...not sure what happened, but this one isn’t too hot. Great lager straw-like aroma. Delightful carbonation. Good lacing. A clean and wondefully drinkable pilsner. Very well made. Rich and memorable. Great palate. You can drink a bathtub of this, particularly while listening to the tuba and banjo duets of Electric Mule. 1FastSTi (2580), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 8, 2005 Pours to a thick creamy white head that is like meringue. Awesome lacing. Golden body with lots of carbonation. Yes, a pilsner can get a 5 on appearance... The aroma is grainy. It has a dry corn dust aroma as well. Reminds me of being on the farm during harvest season. Bonus points for nostalgia. :) The flavor is grainy with Saaz hops present. The palate is clean and refreshing. Medium bodied. GeneralGao (3071), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

Straw colored with a short, white head that fizzled quickly. Nice grainy and slightly hoppy flavor. Clean finish. Good pilsner. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA

Picture perfect Pilsner here.
Tall column of brilliantly clear medium yellow under a frothy white head.
Clean light malt aroma.
The flavor is well balanced, lightly sweet yet restrained with just enough hops. Finishes clean and refreshing as a good Pilsner should with no bad aftertastes. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 21, 2005 A cloudy yellow appearance. A hay and corn aroma. The brewery makes no wild claims even they call it simple and I would tend to agree. A pretty non existent flavor but nothing offensive either. A crisp aftertaste. A step beyond swill and little else.
