Commercial Description:
Pilsner is simple, and yet complex. Its not easy to make a beer pure enough to really let the hops stand out, but that is the goal of our pilsner. We use Czech Saaz hops that are a delight to the senses and impart an arousing aroma and satisfying flavor. The end result is a full bodied beer that has a pleasing hoppy aftertaste.

amber, not much in the aroma, reminds me of the crap that fliies around when you are dumpin corn into the dryer. Decent body to it, kinda tastes like a granola bar is somewhere within it.

On tap at the brewery: Dark yellow and very active with a beauty of a white head. This is biscuity, yet mellow and fruity with a nice effervesence on the tongue. Yummy pils.

Another brew from Heemer. Bottled 08/04. Dusty golden body, thin white bubbly coating. Minimal grain husk aroma. The flavor is more assertive, featuring light malt with subdued herbal, grassy hops. Bitter, piney finish with sweet caramel notes. I think a fresher sample would be better.

I thought this was a really good version of a german pilsner! Nice bitterness to it, dry palate, quite enjoyable! While I seem to have a soft spot for Iowa beers, this isn’t terrible!

Unfortunately, it looks like piss with a thin head and smells like ass. Thankfully it does not taste like it smells, but it’s not all that great either with just a dash of malt and some Saaz hops.

Body is golden, with an ideal white head. Tons of carbonation coming up from the bottom of the glass. Aroma is malt, honey. Decent hop bite for a Pilsner, smooth on the palate, taste is slightly sweet like sugar water, with the hops coming in later and balancing the taste out. Nothing great, but very solid.

Hay Coloring With White Head. Skunky Aroma..Flavor is Actually a Bit Redeeming. But Nothing Wonderful Either.
