Oct 10, 2005 Diminishing white head covers a chestnut brown body. Pretty ordinary toasted cereal nose, slightly influences by leafy hops. Weak grapey and woody undertones peak through here and there, but nothing particularly enticing comes out of it. Thin-medium body, mostly relaxing carbonation.

Oct 7, 2005 Slightly hazy brownish-amber colour. Slight woody note, with cocoa and straightforward maltiness. It’s a bit thin and metallic, but otherwise ok flavours balancing light dark malt notes with cocoa.

Aug 29, 2005 Cptn. 12oz bottle, from Heemer77? Served at ~56° in a lager glass. The beer is dark red with a wispy, khaki colored head and some fizz. The aroma is caramelly malt and yeast with some vanilla?and prunes? The taste is sweet caramel malt and brown sugar, with some backing hops (an alcohol or acidity) that keeps the malt at bay (to a point). Has a nice, full mouthfeel. Nice enough beer.

Aug 10, 2005 dark garnet brown and clear color, medium tan foamy tall head that has medium last. aroma is lots of chocolate malt, some sour grassiness, and raw almonds. flavor is caramel malt, maybe a little cocoa, and sour wheat. mouthfeel goes creamy from the very high carbonation, but otherwise mostly thin body. no this is not a big beer, but nice to have as a light version of a chocolate bock for the summer. thans Secret Santa for my first Iowa beer, whoever you are!!

Pours a reddish brown color w/ a nice thick tan head ok lacing. Smells of wheat carmel malts and hints of chocolate and a little bread. Pal is highly carbonated good mouth feel nice creaminess. Flavor is a roast malt light bittering hints of semi sweet chocolate and wheat. A pretty good brew.

May 20, 2005 355ml brown bottle, thanks to heemer77. Red brown pour. White head didn’t last long, left sticky lace in the glass. Light choclate and malt aroma. Very choclatey brew, smooth, light bodied. Subdued sweetness, choclate malts linger in aftertaste.

Apr 6, 2005 12oz bottle, looks like BB January, so this has been sitting a couple months. Chestnut brown color, poured with a nice head, but it dropped out. Nuts, chocolate, malt, bit of raisin in the aroma. Nice aroma. Smooth, full-bodied malty beer...finishes sweet but crisp. Pretty nice bock beer, chocolatey, malty goodness.
