Just realized the "importance" of this one, being as it is an Iowan beer which I’ve had none of to this point. Murky bronze with a small foamy white head. Nose is flowery and spicy hops, light tea leaves, touch of caramel, and fruit. Taste is honey, sweet malts, citrus fruits, caramel, light spice, some floral hops, and soft tea notes. Body is creamy and a bit on the smooth side with moderate bubbly carabontion. Finishes with more fruit, sweet malts, hops, light honey and floral notes. Not bad! whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA

Deep golden body with visible suspended particles and a modest white head. Aroma has hop notes of apple and spice plus a toasted, biscuity malt background. Juicy flavor with relatively light bitterness that melds with the toasted malt character. A decent, subdued pale ale. hopscotch (5490), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Floral, malty nose with toffee and honey. Malty sweet up front with tons of honey, toffee and caramel. Good-balance on the backside once the bitter/citrusy hops kick in. Medium-bodied and creamy with delicate carbonation. Fruity, medium bitter finish. thegreenrooster (1839), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 14, 2006 Pour is a bright orange with a small white head. Aroma is of freah earthy hops that give it a piney and rich aroma. Flavor falls way flat of the aroma. Very watery but there is a touch of hops in there. This started off so good but fell flat. eve (240), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

Some poster/s speculate a chalky and/or tea note to go with the cloudy white wisp near the bottom of the bottle. Whatever, it is a unique PA flavor that is a great change of pace. The finish is long and strong. It might not work for some but works fine for me
