Commercial Description:
Our Warsh Pail is a hoppy pale ale that we make with plenty of cascade hops from the west coast. We decided to name it "Warsh" Pail Ale because its from the midwest. We don't say wash around here...we say WARSH. Its one of those words that gives Iowa its local flavor, so we though it appropriate to name a beer after it that also is full of local-ness.

bottle-pours deep clear orange with a very small lightly soapy white head. Aroma is fruity hops with some grapefruit undertones. sugary strawberries with grapefruit, orange and tangerine qualities. some light pine as well. flavors were pretty weak, much weaker than the aroma suggests. mostly sweet malts, light citrus with some pine on the finish. not overly bitter. medium body with rather soft carbonation. Really not bad and could make a good session pale ale.

Pours dark copper with a nice tan head. Aroma has musty hops and something awful - smells like cleaning fluid or something. Medium body with quite a bit of carbonation. Taste is musty caramel malt with bitter hops. On the finish the malt turns from musty to husky with quite a bit of hops - piney, grassy and bits of citrus. I have no idea what was hitting me on the aroma as it was no where in the taste, but that lowered my score considerably from this otherwise enjoyable pale ale.

This is my favorite beer after a long gravel ride to Amana. Obviously best if you get it right from the source, bottles are good too. Not the grapefruit flavor of many sharper IPAs but a good bite and great floral complexity that some IPAs seem to skip over for the biggest hops twang. I like this better than Alpha King. Only problem is this is one of their seasonal brews. They should be making it year round.

Tangy hop aroma, orange red color with a cloudiness(?) to it, citrus hop and malt balance, with a tart hop aftertaste, body is light to light medium, has all the makings of a very good brew, just needs to amp up the body a little

(Bottle) Pours a lightly cloudy orange body with a descent rocky off-white head with excellent lacing. Aroma of caramel and light citrus. Flavor of pine and breadiness.

"pours a copper cloudy color. Has an average head with aver lacing. Has a citrus smell to it and a bitter hoppy bite to it. Has an awful aftertaste that lingers forever"

(12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with Ughsmash, thanks Jason!) Whatever the notched date on this label is supposed to signify (Best by? Bottling?) is August, which was five months ago. Medium amber in color, but the significantly cloudy appearance is unexpected given the bottom of the bottle is absolutely free of any sediment. In fact, as I slowly poured in the final ounce or so of beer (the heading was on the verge of overflow), a cloudier and darker layer is sitting in the top inch or so of the beer. The impressive heading takes several minutes to settle down to a quarter inch layer atop the beer. Fruity, chalky, grassy and hoppy aromas are quite pleasant. The flavor of moderately bitter hops jumps right out on the first sip, and continues to dominate along with some citrus and tea throughout the session. Lightly sweet malt provides the base but doesn’t come to the forefront. Moderate chalkiness in the flavor and mouthfeel. Medium body, fairly crisp, well carbonated. Plenty of lacing on the glass, and even some head is left after I’ve polished off the entire beer. Overall, a solid beer and a very pleasant surprise since my first two experiences with Millstream beers weren’t very promising.

Pours out a beautiful cloudy orange-gold color with a white head of foam. The foam lasted throughout the time I drank the beer, leaving traces in the bottom of my beer glass when it was gone. The aroma was nice as well with some floral scents, but overall was dominated by a sweet, roasted scent. It’s sweet with flavors like caramel and some fruits such as grapefruit. The overall effect is a biscuit-dough-like sweetness that isn’t so fruity you don’t know you’re drinking beer. The balance is near perfection as the finish has a nice, dry, bitter edge to it.
