Commercial Description:
Our Warsh Pail is a hoppy pale ale that we make with plenty of cascade hops from the west coast. We decided to name it "Warsh" Pail Ale because its from the midwest. We don't say wash around here...we say WARSH. Its one of those words that gives Iowa its local flavor, so we though it appropriate to name a beer after it that also is full of local-ness.

12oz. hazy amber with tan head and very nice lacing. Nose was fruity and citrus. Very pleasant. The taste was a let down. Not bad, jsut not as good as the nose would let on. Very dry. Would be great on a hot day. Thanks.

12 oz bottle from Brennan’s Country Market in Brookfield, WI. Cloudy, almost opaque musty brown, with everlasting thick creamy cumulus white head and lots of lace....predominantly citrusy nose--grapefruit, orange, with hints of mango and caramel...fairly dry and bitter body, enough brown sugary sweetness to keep the essential tartness from overwhelming, though the finish is very mouth-puckering indeed, almost chalky...medium-weight body, overall a fine example.

12oz bottle via trade with heemer77 - Thanks Eric! - Pours cloudy amber with a short offwhite head that fades quickly to a ring and laces down the glass. Aroma is of hops, grapefruit and floral. Flavor is a nice blend of caramel sweet malts and those floral hops.. Some sort of tea flavor at the finish that I couldn’t quite put my finger on... Palate is medium bodied and pretty smooth to drink. Not bad. A pretty nice APA!

In the bottle from the Millstream sampler pack obtained at the brewery. Pours amber with an ivoryhead. Excellent hop aroma with slight fruitiness. Lacing is outstanding with a thick wall of foam encircling the glass. Fantastic rich thick body with a full hop flavor. delightful sweetness to balance the strong boiling hops so the finish is rather mild. A very enjoyable ale from a brewer who specializes in lagers.

a nice copper color w/ a rocky white head well laced. A nice cascade hop grapefruit and oranges a hint of carmel malt. Smells very fresh. Palate is fairly well coated and lightly sticky. Flavor is a lightly bitter hop some citrus and a tiny malt. Nothing special but not bad.

Poured from a May 2005 bottle, this beer pours to a huge rocky off-white head atop a hazy copper colored body with medium sized floaties. The aroma is huge;y hoppy. Citrus, grapefruits, pine, oranges. I’m liking how fresh and hoppy this smells. The flavor is lightly sweet caramel malts with a bunch of hops. Not overly bitter but quite nice. Slight tea in the flavor. Not as nice as the Sweetwater APA was but this is still quite good. APAs may slowly become my favorite style. Medium bodied, bitter, not sticky, nor slick. Good to see something good coming from Iowa besides myself. :) Muhahhahaha.
