Jul 14, 2005 Poured a darker cloudy orange color and a small sized off white head. Aromas of flowers, oranges and very light grapefruits. Tastes of stronger grapefruit and pine. Starts of lightly sweet and ends in a light to medium bitter finish.

Jul 11, 2005 Updated: Sep 11, 2006RERATE 1027/05: This is now officially my favorite pale ale. I sampled two more bottles and was highly impressed by the depth of the beer and also the perfect blend of flavors it possesses. The palate is as smooth as it gets as well. The old cliche of "perfection in a bottle" isn’t far off here.
Wow! This was a very pleasant surprise. Picked a sixpack of it up on a whim at Brennan’s in Madison. From a bottle, it pours a slighly cloudy medium amber with a small, dense head. Very floral aroma of pine and citrus. Sweet initial taste followed immediately by a healthy walllop of hops. Surprisingly pine-y and citrus-y; this could make for a moderate IPA. There’s more than a little ESB character happening here too. Nice mouthfeel. This brew has just moved up to the top of my APA favorties list.

Jul 4, 2005 Updated: Jan 1, 2007I’ve had this several times, most recently at the Iowa City Brew Fest. Amberish color with a nice head. Nose is very flowery, as is the flavor. Moderately bitter. An okay pale ale.

Well I could easily survive on this if I were stuck in Iowa.
Nice light gold color that comes with a head of fine white foam.
Good clean hop aroma. The flavor is well balanced malt and hops with a slightly chalky finish that was the only detractor and it wasn’t intense enough to disqualify this one. Good APA and better than many IPA’s I’ve had.

Jun 20, 2005 A dark orange appearance with a moderate head. The aroma is very nice with some lemons, oranges, and grapefruits. The flavor is smooth and crisp with a nice hoppy background. Some pine notes exist with lemons, oranges, and grapefruit flavas. Im realy digging APAs of late. And this one is really nice.
