Commercial Description:
Our Warsh Pail is a hoppy pale ale that we make with plenty of cascade hops from the west coast. We decided to name it "Warsh" Pail Ale because its from the midwest. We don't say wash around here...we say WARSH. Its one of those words that gives Iowa its local flavor, so we though it appropriate to name a beer after it that also is full of local-ness.

This is my favorite beer after a long gravel ride to Amana. Obviously best if you get it right from the source, bottles are good too. Not the grapefruit flavor of many sharper IPAs but a good bite and great floral complexity that some IPAs seem to skip over for the biggest hops twang. I like this better than Alpha King. Only problem is this is one of their seasonal brews. They should be making it year round.

Good combo of pale ale front with grainy/wheat after. Thumbs up and would buy again.

RERATE 1027/05: This is now officially my favorite pale ale. I sampled two more bottles and was highly impressed by the depth of the beer and also the perfect blend of flavors it possesses. The palate is as smooth as it gets as well. The old cliche of "perfection in a bottle" isn’t far off here.
Wow! This was a very pleasant surprise. Picked a sixpack of it up on a whim at Brennan’s in Madison. From a bottle, it pours a slighly cloudy medium amber with a small, dense head. Very floral aroma of pine and citrus. Sweet initial taste followed immediately by a healthy walllop of hops. Surprisingly pine-y and citrus-y; this could make for a moderate IPA. There’s more than a little ESB character happening here too. Nice mouthfeel. This brew has just moved up to the top of my APA favorties list.

Came in a cool one liter bottle with a stopper. Has a dark red color and a slightly yellow head. Strong aroma of flowers, oranges and maple. The taste is more subtle. It has orange peels, bread and a little pepper spice. This is a great offering from Millstream. Now this is availble in 12 oz. bottles. I prefer the draft version as the hops seem to be a little more lively. The 12 oz. bottles are now available and this beer gets better all the time.

This beer came in my beer club. I have never heard of this brewer before. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark red-bronze color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma is sweet and has a strong spicy hop element. The body is moderately thick The flavor is nutty with a strong spicy hop flavor and a hint of caramel. The hops coat the tongue and linger on the palate. This beer surprised me, and I found myself rather fond of it. Now only if it was normally available here...

Slightly hazy copper amber color, topped by half an inch of creamy off-white foam. Okay head retention, nice sheets of lacing at first - these become spotty later on. Soft and gentle carbonation. Moderate sweet malt in the aroma - no hops evident. Very enjoyable caramel maltiness up front - sweet and a bit earthy. Blends well with a hop bitterness that is there primarily for balance. A little honey-like malt sweetness and an almost citrus hop character in the finish and into the aftertaste. Smooth and drinkable - well made.

A dark orange appearance with a moderate head. The aroma is very nice with some lemons, oranges, and grapefruits. The flavor is smooth and crisp with a nice hoppy background. Some pine notes exist with lemons, oranges, and grapefruit flavas. Im realy digging APAs of late. And this one is really nice.
