Commercial Description:
A true "Flussiges Brot" or liquid bread. Malted wheat is carefully blended with the traditional malted barley, and brewed with special hops to create a "Summer Fest" beer. Light and zesty in itself, the beer is served in a tall glass with a slice of lemon.

This beer came in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy yellow-golden color with a trace of a white head. The aroma was bitter, citrusy and a touch wheaty. The flavor was bitter and tangy with light wheat and citrus undertones. Surprisingly dry.

poured a hazy orange with a little head. Lots of wheat and citrus in the nose. Flavor was about the same, with a bit of funk. Thin with little lasting flavor. A completely average but very drinkable beer.

Thin bodied and gold in color. Very light wheat aroma and mild wheat flavor. Far too light overall. A poor beer.

Not much going on here. A bit of sweet honey taste. Slight taste of spice. Not much aroma. Big fluffy head.

Cellar Reduction Night, Oct 20, 2007. Hazy gold color with no head. Plenty of wheat and slight honey in the aroma. Primarily a strong wheat taste. Not really anything else happening. Very clean.

On tap at the Ox Yoke Inn at Amana, Iowa. Cloudy yellow with a thin head. Light citrus aroma. The taste was tangy lemon and citrus with a hint of bread. Well carbonated. Overall an average wheat beer, but the food was great.

not bad, poured a cloudy yellow hue with a thin white head. Aroma was of mild bread notes and some sweetness. Flavor was initially crisp with a nice wheat note, balanced out by a subtle sweetness to it. Finish was clean, body was moderate.

Simple and perfectly quaffable. Really nice wheat malt presence - lots of banana and lemon in what is a pretty thin malt base. Slightly tart but not puckering. Lots of citrus on the nose. Looks nice in the glass. The finish really highlights the wheat malt, but overall there is just too little of everything in this driink - still its pretty nice and refreshing.
