| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 27, 2009 Clear golden pour with a small white head. Aroma is peach, nectarine, apricot, hay, straw, and a mild bretty note. Flavor is wheaty, mildly tart, and lightly fruity with trace isovaleric acid. Palate is a bit thin, as is to be expected from the style, finishing clean and crisp. Super refreshing, though not overly flavorful. mcox90 (654), Wilton, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 29, 2009 On tap at the brewpub. Pours a deep golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is light spice with peach and malt. Palate is on the thin side with a dry crisp quality. Flavor is an interesting mix of peach, cherry, possibly lemon all with a sweet malt background. Quite tart with a bit of sour. Very enjoyable. MartinT (5075), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 20, 2009 My Bottom Line:
Peach and apricot fruitiness and sweetness dominate this Berliner Weisse mit Fruit’s wheat base, ending in a refreshing but very light tartness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam skirts the cloudy dark golden.
-This is not nearly as crisp as The Tap’s own Berliner Weisse. It is not as classy and tart as Dieu du Ciel’s own fruit-infused BWeisses either.
-The prickly carbonation and rather sweet leanings make for a drinkable but uncompelling mouthfeel.
-I get the impression this would have been very boring without the fruit presence.
