Shared a sampler that had this in it. The appearance was black topped with a big nose of chocolate. Nice chocolate taste and velvety on the tongue.

On tap at Millys: Brown ruby with no head, rich fudge and chocolate in the aroma, syrupy thick body, starts and ends sweet, a bit too rich for me, but a nice beer for someone who really likes chocolate. It would taste good on ice cream.

On tap at Milly’s. Minimal, short-lived head...disappeared and left nothing behind. Sugary, very intense cocoa aroma. Sweet cocoa flavors with malt and roasted grains. Pretty good (what I’d consider) "novelty" brew... good to have one of these now and again to spice things up.

Served on tap at Milly’s Tavern in Manchester, NH. I enjoyed this chocolate ale that Mike made. Caramel colored head and very dark brown ale. The aroma is of chocolate and is more sweet than the taste, which has a nice balance of bitter and sweet.

[tap] Seriously HUGE, sweet chocolate aroma. Appears nearly black, with a tan/coffee colored head. Taste is malty, with finishing aftertaste of dark, slightly bitter chocolate. A wonderful example of chocolate used in beer.

on tap-pours a rocky tan head with cloudy brown color. Aroma is chocolate, malt. Taste is chocolate, dark malt, hint of lime. Interesting, well done. Occasional. OK carbonation.

On tap at Milly’s Tavern. It’s made with Van Otis chocolate. Black color with a big chocolate aroma. Smooth mouthfeel with a mild fizziness. Lightly bitter aftertaste.
