Commercial Description:
Our unique take on the Belgian Saison style combining traditional Belgian yeast and a healthy dose of American hops. This beer is fermented at higher temperatures producing complex fruit and spice character. Its light body and moderate alcohol make it highly quaffable, especially for lovers of Belgian beers and hops.

Pours fairly clear amber with a medium head. Aroma is of hay, sharp coriander, and a medium yeast funk. Flavor is hay, coriander, some light orange peel, and a yeasty funk. The coriander and orange peel linger on the tounge.

Bottle - A&K’s 4th AHBT - Lightly hazed gold, thin fizzy white head. Interesting and complex nose of flowers, lemon, coriander, grass, and soap. Flavor was similar with additional wheaty notes, more florals, and a decent peppery hop bitterness rounding it out. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, spicy, lemony finish. Different yet tasty.....

A beer with a floral aroma. The appearance was a light cloudy, ciderish color. The favor was lemony and strongly bitter. The mouthfeel was slightly stick. My notes call this a "happy" beer.

Thanks to argo0 and dirtymike for this one: Cloudy dark yellow with a solid creamy white head. Aroma features spices (definitely added) of coriander, ginger, lemon, floral hops. Taste is coriander, orange peel, light malt, and chewy yeast. Medium bodied. For some reason this seemed to be like a hefeweizen with spices thrown in to me.

Handbotteed: Hazed golden hue with a small lasting frothy head and some lace. The aroma has notes of ginger, orange zest, corriander, heather, grassy hops and dusty yeast esters. The taste starts with a good flowery and spiced character with a fruity background. Lasting pepper note on the thin body and fizzy feel. Not to shabby, quite drinkable.

Slowly diminishing white head covers the cloudy golden body. Doughy, peppery and soapy yeastiness hits first, but the rye blends in nicely with the biscuity and cerealic barley, gentle inoffensive spicing (coriander? sage?) contributes rounding flavours. Finishing a bit phenolic, which works well here. Could be a bit more attenuated, but I don’t know that the rye would be as apparent. Reminds me of the more local Cheval Blanc saison examples. I really enjoyed the rye signature in this one, it procures a spicy, woody dry character that fits perfectly.
