tonyc603 (43), New Hampshire, USA Jan 22, 2007 Wow, there’s some honey in this guy. Almost bordering on the line of a braggot. Hazy appearance due to the yeast, kind of like a hazy amber wit beer. Fruity and bready malt all the way through. very enjoyable. It definately seems to be pleasing some ladies who I’ve seen drinking it and I’m not ashamed to to say I TOO HAVE ENJOYED THE FRENCH TICKLER! hophead75 (1945), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Oct 30, 2006 on tap at Milly’s and at the BA BBF. Dark hazy orange in appearance. Aroma is honey, fruits, malts, and spices. Taste is the same with a lightly spicy and bitter finish. very good. Balthazar (86), Clinton, Massachusetts, USA Oct 8, 2006 This had a dark amber core with a pale creamy head. Nice appearance. The malts seem to go well with the honey... not over hopped... slightly bitter. A good flavor.
Severed with complliments by Volgon’s Kegulator. Volgon (2487), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Sep 27, 2006 On tap at home: Dark cloudy orange with a medium off-white head, sweet sugars with lots of honey, rich fruits and spicy yeast in the aroma, starts and ends lightly sweet, light body with mild carbonation, sweet ending that isn’t overwhelming. Another beer that will be in my keggerator. DarkMagus (433), San Jose, California, USA Aug 29, 2006 Hazy amber/brown color, dense but thin head of fine bubbles. Sweet, malty aroma with undertones of wheat, yeast, honey, some slight grassy notes. Rich flavors of malt, yeast, dried fruits, citrus, some slight hoppy bitterness and spiciness. Easy to drink, not too heavy, not too sweet. Nice dry finish, a new Milly’s favorite for me. LyndaNova (492), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Aug 20, 2006 Updated: Oct 8, 20068.16.06 - Cold on tap at Milly’s Tavern: Cloudy amber color with light alabaster lacing. Aroma is lightly sweet with citrus notes. Tastes crisp. Medium body. Lightly fizzy with a nice balance of sweet and bitter. Very nice ending. *Mike, I want a keg of this! : )
10.8.06: On tap at home: Excellent Belgian Ale by DirtyMike! **** Thank you, Mike!!! :) jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Aug 16, 2006 on tap-pours an offwhite head with copper color. Aroma is fruity, malt, sweet. Taste is fruity-apple, malt, sweet-honey, mellow. OK carbonation. Nice. BitchesBrew (710), Berkeley, California, USA Aug 12, 2006 Pours a slightly cloudy, dark brown color. Aroma is dark roasted malts, some mild sweetness. Flavors are super malty- this one will surely please the malt lovers out there. Biscuity, roasted malts, finishing slightly bitter and sweet. Medium carbonation provides a crisp mouthfeel. The addition of honey seems to round out the flavors well, without providing too much over-the-top sweetness. Extremely drinkable- I look forward to having this one again.
