A Mes rate: Gravicask at GBBF.
Black brown with no head. Fruity and raw, slight bready malt, delicate roasty notes. Very unrefined. Not great.

Dark brown appearance, sticky beige ring. Once again a very malty dark beer for Milly’s. Cofeeish, roasted dark grains, caramelic undertones… Unfortunately, like the stout, a tart vegetal aspect keeps it off being among my favourite of the place. Those hops bring a citric limey character that I’m not too fond of. It just feels wrong in the middle of a cerealic, smokey and roasty domain. Light-medium bodied, lightly carbonated.

Green hop bitterness cooperates with the roasted malt’s...A quenching, ruby-brown body with leafy, assertive hops which surprise as the still interesting malts are almost toppled...A good initiation to porters...

Deep brown colour, tan head. Sweet chocolately malts over deeply caramelized malts with a touch of licorice and anise in back. Herbal/earthy hops over a sweet earthy malt base. Hops are a touch resinous, which matches the deep blackstrap molasses character very well. Bittersweet chocolate and earthy/fruity Northern Brewer type hops. Deep malty/earthy finish with a bit of licorice/anise over soft bitterness. Great pint.
