| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 29, 2005 Dark brown appearance, sticky beige ring. Once again a very malty dark beer for Milly’s. Cofeeish, roasted dark grains, caramelic undertones… Unfortunately, like the stout, a tart vegetal aspect keeps it off being among my favourite of the place. Those hops bring a citric limey character that I’m not too fond of. It just feels wrong in the middle of a cerealic, smokey and roasty domain. Light-medium bodied, lightly carbonated. jcwattsrugger (5333), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 28, 2005 Green hop bitterness cooperates with the roasted malt’s...A quenching, ruby-brown body with leafy, assertive hops which surprise as the still interesting malts are almost toppled...A good initiation to porters... | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 20, 2006 Deep brown colour, tan head. Sweet chocolately malts over deeply caramelized malts with a touch of licorice and anise in back. Herbal/earthy hops over a sweet earthy malt base. Hops are a touch resinous, which matches the deep blackstrap molasses character very well. Bittersweet chocolate and earthy/fruity Northern Brewer type hops. Deep malty/earthy finish with a bit of licorice/anise over soft bitterness. Great pint.
