Doppelganger (1201), Oxford, Oxfordshire, England Jul 23, 2007 Cask, Pembury Tavern. Light copper, no head. Spicy citrus hops, dulled by a bit of jam/sherry. Flavor is still bright--nice citrus leaning hops, clean malt, a bit of cinnamon. Nice delicate palate. Feels a bit off it’s stride, but still not bad. reakt (838), Greater London, England Mar 18, 2007 Updated: Sep 2, 2007cask @ 2nd pembury festival. Thanks to my strange little friend Andy for letting me sample this one. Uhhh, it smells like dog urine. I’m worried that Andy liked this so much. Watery, hoppy, blah! Mes_and_Sim (4477), Highgate, Greater London, England Mar 18, 2007 A Sim rate (Draught at the Pembury Tavern): Earthy hops. A bit of manure left over from the hopsy soil. Dry hoppy flavour and a little wheaty. Finish of dry wine. harrisoni (5359), Ashford, Kent, England Mar 16, 2007 Cask gravity at Pembury Tavern BF March 2007. Gold colour with no head. Cat’s pee hoppy, astringent aroma. Bit watery in mouth. Good strong hoppy finish. Lovely well made beer, just a bit too watery in the mouth.
