chris_o (4405), London, Greater London, England Nov 1, 2004 Orange/copper colour. Some butterscotch and caramel in the aroma, with a touch of "homebrew" yeast. The flavour has sharp, citric hops and the finish is rather acidic. I think there’s a decent beer in there somewhere, but I suspect the festival conditioning wasn’t top notch. I’ve marked it up a little to reflect that. Cask (gravity dispense) at Bedford Beer Festival 2004.
duff (5404), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Oct 24, 2004 Cask@Bedford BF. Didn’t really like this too much. Sulphuric, toffee bitter, some slightly off acidity. I think Milton are a decent brewery, but i didn’t enjoy this one. maeib (3949), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Oct 9, 2004 Cask conditioned - Gravity Dispense - Bedford Beer Festival. A copper coloured bitter with a butterscotch and toffee aroma. Tart maltiness in the taste. A bit rough homebrew like body Joeh (1892), Buckinghamshire, England Oct 6, 2004 Cask Conditioned at the Bedford Beer Festival 2004 (Wednesday Session).. Sweet malty and juicy beer. Kind of like visiting a sweet shop. Slightly tart.
