Dark brown color with a smaller dense off-white head. Dark chocolate and mild coffee scents with a mild backdrop of floor malt. Flavors match up with the scents with some caramel and a black malt bitterness in the finish and linger.

Served on draught at the Wisconsin Micro-brewers Beerfest in Chilton, Wisconsin. Pours a dark brownish amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of toasted dark malt, some raisin, dark grapes, dark pitted fruits and a touch of chocolate. Taste is full bodied, light carbonated with flavors of toasted dark malt, bittersweet chocolate, some coffee and a touch of raisin. Finish has a nice alcohol warmth with a fruity and semi-sweet dark malt aftertaste that slowly disappears.

On tap at the Ale House. Poured dark reddish-brown with a short cap of off-white head. Soy and molasses give the first impression from the aroma.. as it warmed, it picked up a nice level of toastiness and some chocolate.. I enjoyed it after the initial impression. The flavor had semi-sweet chocolate with molasses and boozy soy.. the back-end was a bit muddled with a bunch of dark sugars going on.. not offensive, but not too particularly well-composed. This felt better on the palate as it warmed up.. heavier-bodied with a dry back-end.. hid the alcohol quite well.. bitterness was lighter and complimentary. Decent brew.

Pours to a really dark brown cola colored body with a thin ring white head. The flavors are lightly sweetened bitter black chocolate, de-husked black malt, light licorice or anise, milk. Bitter roast with a lot of muted earthy components. The aroma is a weak chocolate brownie and raw cocoa powder mixed with a roasted grain sack. It has a definite Baltic porter taste. The palate is astringent, medium bodied, bitter, and has a lingering sweetness.

Dark brown pour nice tan well laced head although the beer just looks a little thin. flavor is bottom of the coffee pot bitter almost a touch sour too it from the coffee roast as well, Touches of milk chocolate do come through. Palate is to thin. Aroma is very light hint of chocolate, hard to pick up. Not a very good baltic.

Dark brown body, not much head. Dark chocolate and burnt raisins in the flavor finishing with roast and hop bitterness. What little aroma I get is of raisins. A chocolate-roasty beer with a big dose of dark-fruit crystal malt. Good, and surprisingly flavorful for the Ale House.

Rich fruit and malt initialy hit the nose, not getting the chocolate promised, could be some alcohol there, cant nail down the fruits but its not fig, taste goes heavy to the fruit side, you almost get the impression your drinking a dry fruity wine, fruit is defintely raisin that alcohol I couldn’t detect in the aroma,is blazing with both barrels in the taste, but not in a harsh way,its coming on smooth and pleasant. Some chocolate coming around as it warms. Head is nowhere to be found, hop bittering falls with the easy alcohol for a nice contemplative finish. Needs a little more malt influence, yeast esters to dominating. Described as being a lager, and tha is perfectly acceptable for a Baltic Porter to use lager yeast.
