On tap at Milwaukee Ale House. Poured medium amber with a creamy cap of beige head. The aroma was on the sweet side with toasted caramel and toffee accented by hints of dried herbs and brown sugar. The flavor found caramel, brown sugar, and a hint of molasses surrounded by light-to-moderate herbal bitterness.. spicy and slightly sour on the finish. Medium-bodied and sweet for the most part on the palate with OK balance. Decent drink.

Sampled on draught at the Grafton Ale House: pours a dark but clear red colour with a small off white head. Aroma is sweet, ripe fruit, cherries and licorice. Taste is semi dry with nutty flavors.

On tap at the Milwaukee location. Poured a medium reddish-brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of caramel and a littler earthy. Tastes of caramel, roast, and light chocolate.

Pours to a very deep mahogany red body with a thin sheath of coating off-white head. The flavor is malty for sure but instead of the Vienna I just had, this one’s got subtle chocolate and caramel to meet the grainy sweet malts. The palate has a sweet silken mouthfeel that’s mouthwatering and slick. Lightly nutty. A good Irish red, but this isn’t a favorite style of mine. The aroma has sweet caramelized sugary nutty malts. Significantly more subtle than a brown ale, but along the same lines all around. It does grow on me, but I’d rather have one of their light lagers.

Hazy light mahogany color with just a few bubbles adrift on top. Perfect color, but lack of much head results in an average looking brew. Dark caramel and earthy rye aromas. Definitely and irish red, at least quite close to the ones I made years ago. Again dark earthy caramel flavors along with light licorice and chocolate. Dry toasty finish.
