Cask at the downtown location. The beer pours to a blackish brown body with a 1 inch tan head that all but fully dissipates. The aroma is coffee and dark malts. Very sweet. More sweet chocolate Kahlua aromas than coffee aromas. The flavor was a nice sweet stout. Lots of sweetness from the Kahlua. Chocolate, vanilla, subtle coffee, rich sticky base stout. The palate was really slick and easy to drink. Low carbonation.

Brown color with a moderate lid of small, tight tan bubbles. Scents of lightly roasted malt, dark chocolate and hints of cream. Smooth and creamy feel. Flavors of dark chocolate in the front with hints of fruit and vanilla. Middle starts to dry out with some coffee and oak. I never did get much of a Kahlua kick, but a nice smooth, easy drinking stout.

On tap at the Ale House. Poured clear, very deep brown with a creamy cap of medium brown head.. beautiful! The aroma picked up sweeter chocolates paired with.. well.. Kahlua as expected.. dark and simple, but well-presented with the blend of coffee and chocolate. Sweeter chocolates and coffee form the core of the flavor as well with accents of oak and vanilla providing an extra dimension.. sticky, sweet back-end held onto the chocolate and coffee for a while. Low carbonation on the sweet palate.. coffee provides more flavor than bitterness.. the back-end picks up very nice earthy notes.. medium-bodied and dry. This was a very good brew!
