I’m glad it’s not available elsewhere yet, because MAH would somehow ruin it by making too much! Strykzone (1496), Wood River, Illinois, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 15, 2007 Good looking beer. The body’s a deep amber with ruby highlights and it sports a thick & creamy khaki head. The aroma contains fruity, juicy malts with some fresh toast. Caramel and more fruits are present in the flavor along with a mild spiciness. A touch of earthy bitterness mellows the drink out, making it a decent, sessionable ale.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 11, 2007 Smells of nut and caramel malts. Pours a dark red, almost brown. It has a nice roasty malt flavor and goes down with a bready finish. This is a good session beer for me. Ughsmash (4074), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 20, 2007 On tap at the Ale House. Poured a deeper reddish-amber with a dusting and a ring of off-white head. Nose was of sweet toasted caramel and some darker fruits.. odd hint of whiskey sugars.. pleasant. Flavor also picked up the toasted caramel and darker fruits along with a moderate leafy bitterness and some grainy woody notes... only a decent flow. Somewhat smooth on the palate with decently-placed bitterness.. OK, but far from memorable. murrayswine (101), Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, USA

Pours a amber/red with with a minimal head.
Smells of nuts, toffee, butter, and slight hops.
Taste is easy going malt, with a little toast, hints of hops, and no metallic aftertaste (thank god).
All in all this is pound for pound my favorite lawnmower beer, and at 6.99 a 6 er it’s a great deal.
