This is a harsh, heavy malt liquor, which will probably not appeal to those un-acclimated to the genre. The dark amber color is attractive, and it has a fruity aroma, and a strong, stinging flavor. The pleasant mouth feel comes from the alcohol-tinged undertones. My overall impression is very positive, but be warned that at 11% alcohol abv, this is a dangerous product. I bought a 24 oz. can (in the Chicago area- not available in the New Orleans area), and am drinking it out of a chalice. I will not be operating a motor vehicle tonight. A good, mucho-macho malt liquor. RJT

I buy this only when I have a few bucks to my name. Gets you drunk, thats all that it was quite obviously made for. Second half of the 40oz tastes much better than the first but thats only probably because you are half bombed by then due to the STRONG alcoholic content. Horrible aftertaste, kind of like fruit mixed with dehydrated urine. Only rating this so high cause it does its job, and well.

In the 24 oz. can from Wohlner’s Grocery. I first saw stacks of these cans while on a tour of the Minhas Brewery in Monroe. I was told by Doris the Tour Guide that this beer was only sold in Canada and that we could not sample it there. SHAZAM! A month later, it is sold in my local grocery. UNFORTUNATELY, I have been foiled because the beer was undrinkable. I popped open the cylinder and commenced to pour it into a shaker. To my complete SHOCK, a giant wad of fungus slopped out of the can and into the glass. Putrid would be an understatement. The aroma was soured and vinegar-like. This amorphous blob looked like something unmentionable fell into the can before capping and proceeded to slowly degrade by the harsh nature of the concoction. I’m really bummed out by this because I really wanted to see what passed for a 11% ABV beer out of Minhas. At this point, all I could rate it as would be a bio-degrading agent, or fungal culture broth. Disgusting. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT DRINK THIS DIRECTLY OUT OF THE CAN!!!! Pour it into a glass and make sure it is not growing fungus.

Drank from a 24oz can, didn’t bother pouring it into a glass. Low budget malt liquor with sort of a misleading apple scent. Would drink again since it’s priced right and it gets me drunk. 11% is no laughing matter when it comes to a malt liquor. Be warned you might gag on it until you get used to the flavor..

What a brilliant beer! Amazing colour, great aroma, great taste, excellent mouth feel! OK, I’m lying about all of that. Orangish and thick looking brew with a huge white bubbly head and absolutely no retention. The fake sweet apple smell was a given and it came with corn and a bit of sourness. The taste was a wonderful blend of corn, alcohol, crappy sweet candy and hot emptiness. Mouth feel = bleck. Hot and syrupy. Yum. Yum.

"Oh dear gawd why did you buy this Gully?! Why?! And then why did I agree to drink it?!?!? Oh ya I’m a drunk who try any beer at least once that’s why. Any way looks standard gold with a off white fluffy noisy cap not much to comment on here. Tons of apple in the aroma with tons of burning alcohol and some bleach, corn, hand soap and something that I’ll call bubble gum. I’m fairly sure you can use these fumes to dissolve paint. This taste so fake its pure overly sweet corn, hints of apple and banana and a random smattering of chemicals, luckily this is fairly mild tasting or I’m sure it would be undrinkable. Thanks again Gully for this wonderus brew I’ll have to shyt in your mail box to properly thank you. "

Rating from a 12-oz bottle from Stadium Liquors in Burbank, IL: Wow! This is a real alcohol delivery system! The warmth started to hit after the first couple of swigs, and I had to step out into the April snows to clear my head afore rating. It pours a deep golden body with a tall, if short lived, fizzy white head. It smelled like diesel fuel, pure and simple. I’d be fibbing if I added anything more. The flavor had a grainy, sugary sweetness that somehow seemed to give the alcohol taste a boost. There’s a touch of apple sauce and even more alcohol at the end. The finish is sticky sweet with a solid alcohol burn. Oddly, this is one of the better beers that I’ve had with "Minhas" in the name.
