Aroma is typical pale lager, grainy, straw, slightly metallic and a corn note. Flavor is again grainy, metal, a bit of an apple juice like crispness in the finish. Not a whole lot else going on, some of the alcohol gives a bleck nasty aftertaste. Light body and a sharp fizzy carbonation. Blah, cheap though.

Aroma is quite perfumy/spice, initially, sweet arin, apple. Taste is perfumy/spice hops, sweet grain, apple. OK effervescence/carbonation. Interesting. doomfistinc (20), New Mexico, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Purchased from Trader Joe’s. 6 pack. 12oz can. Pours standard pale yellow lager color. Smells like grass, corn, and metal. Tastes the same but with more metal coming through. Not as carbonated as Red Oval. Better than the other store brand, but not by a lot. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 10, 2009 Local can from Trader Joes. Sweet another pale lager to add to the ratings pile. It was a stray for 99 cents so my expectations were low. Poured a clear gold colour with a small white head. Corny aroma and some citrus too. Strange sweet flavour that included some alcohol and cereal. Just a touch of noticeable hops. Delivers what it promises: simplicity. tangent (21), San Pedro, California, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 8, 2009 A mild alcoholic nose, fizzy piss yellow pour with no head. Tastes like hops and corn, a little dry towards the end. Overall, it really isn’t that bad compared to most american macros, and at $2.99 from your local Trader Joe’s why even bother with any other shitty beer? If you must buy cheap, go with something like this. cbkschubert (2015), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 2, 2009 12 oz. can from Trader Joes - Pours a clear golden color with a huge three finger thick white head. Thick lacing. Aroma is sweet grain malt, soap, and herbal hops. Flavor is quite malty sweet. Medium body. I think this one could be fermented a little drier. A decent beer. ajm (949), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Nov 30, 2009 Cans from Trader Joe’s. Let me tell you about this beer: it can make and end a night at the same time. It can save a bad night from the shit column. It cannot make you fall in love with pale lagers, but it can make you want to one day try. It’s never piss tasting, flat, it’s always bright, and sometimes zings you with a nice fruit tinge. This beer will earn your respect if you give it a chance. drjay44 (809), Salida, Colorado, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 22, 2009 12 oz. can. Pours an initially fluffy, rapidly deflating white head, with some lacing, over a clear, gold (SRM 5-6) body....nose is very light, reminiscent of soda pop, with a bit of corn....taste is light with a bit of malt and then characteristics of ginger ale.....mouth feel is light, carbonation fairly high. This is not as awful as some in this style, but is not a beer to have more than once.
