Commercial Description:
Brewing using a special Belgian yeast strain, this Dubbel (double) has flavors characteristic of Belgian Abbey Ales. The brew contains honey and candi sugar and has a slightly sweet taste that is allowed to come through by using low hop rates.

Ar: very strong. has a fingernail polish type aroma. candy sugar. nasty aroma. Ap: liquid caramel. flat, non-existent head. F: ick. candy sugar, way too sweet, not appealing. sorry, but this stuff isn’t good. P: have to pour this out it’s too offensive. no carbonation, ick. O: i give them credit for trying, but they crashed and burned. Thanks BBB63, but I thought this was horrible.

Draft sampler. Whoah, mama! Brown in the glass, a blast in the mouth. Taste of bubble gum, orange, honey, "sugar in the raw." Then I catch a nice sweet wine thang. This one pretty much puts you through the wringer before settling into a nice fizzy, alcoholic honey buzz.

On tap: Hazy golden hue with a fizzy but lasting head and good lace. Ther aroma has notes of pear and apricots, candi sugar, honeycomb, bready malts, and a hint of mint, very floral. The taste starts sweet and fruity and that continues through out the palate. The finish display some malty layers and a woody touch. The feel is lively and slightly sticky, not has heavy as some dubbels but not thin either. Quite drinkable for the alcohol level. Yet another very good speciality brew from Mishawaka Brewing, I hope they keep it up.
