Deep copper color, thin head. The hops are just a background bitterness here, while malts come in nicely, Just a touch of astringency for contrast make this a beer to reckon with. Also a nice fruity snip at the end. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 20, 2004 Clear brown body, white head. Buttery aroma: ritz crackers, mushrooms, and grassy hops. Cardboardy malt (pale roast?) and corn stem hops. Meh. Thanks BBB! JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

A little carbination and watery. Wheaty and sweet, but not too much so. A slight amount of grassy hops. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 20, 2004 Dark amber coloring with a very small head. The aroma is very malty with grass and some fresh cut wood. Pleasant spring time aroma. The taste starts out like toast with a sugary syrup backing it up. The finish is dry and oaky. This is a nice smooth, session style ale. Thanks BBB63. Mangino (1027), Mississippi, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 19, 2004 deep red w/ thin white head, hints of grass and something a little spicy in the scent, the palate was smooth & thin and lightly carbonated. The flavor was light crisp and hoppy... not bad overall but nothing special.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 7, 2004 Pours a nice deep clear red/brown with a light but creamy off-white head. Somewhat toasty aroma with caramel and hops notes. I had a hard time pinning this down to a style based on the flavor- a combination of apple peel, other sweet dark fruits, and caramel malts, finishing with a touch of bitter hops. Medium body. A nice beer that challenges the traditional cereal "cheerios" flavor of most Irish Ales. Drank this out of a "Party Pig" pseudokeg. hotstuff (3176), Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 27, 2004 Bottle. This beer formed a small sized ivory head with fine-medium sized bubbles that were mostly lasting. The body was transparent and carbonated with a reddish-brown hue. The nose was malty, caramel, some milk chocolate notes, fruity and grassy. The flavor was caramel and fruitiness. The mouthfeel was smooth and a bit dry. The texture was light-medium and the lacing was fair.
