The beer with our highest level of hops it is brewed as a specialty beer a few times a year. Brewed with the intent of providing an ale with a very high level of hop flavor without excessive bitterness. We use four varieties of hops and three malts.

Bottle from Eithcubes: Orange/blonde pour with a moderate white head. Nose is full of floral and grassey hops, just a subtle maltiness. The floral hops were a bit overwhelming in the taste without enough malty/citrus presence to balance it all out. Felt like a dandilion in the mouth. For a brew that uses four hops and three malts it tasted a bit one dimensional.

Bottle from Mike (BBB63) Thanks. Pours out an orange yellow color and a nice white head. Smell is mostly hops, with a little bit of sweetness to seemingly balance out the flavors. Taste is bitter, very bitter, almost unpleasant at first, but once becoming accustomed to it, it tastes pretty good. Perhaps a little too strong to be a session IPA, but just as a regular IPA, it does a good job. Interesting and possibly the most unique IPA I have ever tasted. Thanks Mike.

A good head retention with a gold, orange, amber color, this super-hoppy bear has a strong bitter quality that really stays in the mouth. Very strong floral and citrus qualities.

This brew pours a nice bronze color with a lasting eggshell white head. Very hoppy aroma, but I liked the variety with pine, citrus and floral with a bit of earthy malt present. Nice carbonation, slightly creamy on the front end. Slightly resinous and the hop flavors linger all the way to the finish. I think pine was the dominant hop flavor, but I did like the crisp, fresh hoppiness even though the malt was barely discernable except to slighly cut the hops. I loved this brew.

Bottle... Clear, golden ale with a mid-sized, wispy, white head. Terrific retention. This one has that black tea aroma I love... along with a little buttery diacetyl. Also notes of cocoa and crystal malt. More-than-medium-bitter flavor with caramel, more black tea and grapefruit rind. Full-bodied and creamy with moderate carbonation. Finishes tongue-numbingly bitter and lasting. A shout goes out to MI2CA for providing the bottle!

Ahh, sweet redemption. I bought this bottle from the same store and at the same time I bought the Kick Ass Seven Mule and it is MUCH better. Honey colored pour with caramel midtones. The frothy head immediately exits. A slight earthiness backbones the citrusy nose. Spritzy body. The caramel malts present themselves here, balancing the moderately hopped body. Not overly bitter, everything is kept in check here. A solid example of the style, but this wouldn’t standout in the world of IPAs pushing the limits these day.

Bottle. Very strong hoppy aroma, pine, pineapple, and grapefruit. Well-carbonated orange body with a large, creamy beige head. Rather bitter and resinous taste, hops assert themselves all the way through, beginning sharply but mellowing. Light citrus and acidity. Full body but a little watery around the edges - a little more body would do wonders. Balanced and tasty!

This draft brew from the brewery poured a very large sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that was long lasting and left behind a hazy light and thick foamy lacing. The aroma was of raw hops. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The strong flavor contained notes of raw hops. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.
