I’m not sure what it is but the taste of this beer is different. I can’t tell if I like it or not. It isn’t hard to drink but I don’t think I would like to drink much of it.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with jimbowoods (thanks!). Poured a deep and slightly cloudy amber color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, pine and light caramel. Tastes of citrus and pine. Medium bitter with a very light sweetness. Light lacing left on the glass.

Bottle. Dark amber/orange pour with beige head. Aroma is overpowering, sweet hoppiness and loads of pineapple and grapefruit. Light orange. Bitter and grassy hoppy taste, a little grainy but not too much, a little hop oil, too. Initially sweetness quickly dries out. Grapefruit and orange citrus, lightly acidic, with resin. Medium-full body with a hoppy bitter aftertaste. Feels too heavy in the mouth. Balance is a little off here, but it’s hard to pick out the reason.

12oz - Aroma is very malty like cardboard with some citrus hops showing up in the end. Pours transparent copper with a huge head and great lacing. Flavor matches aroma with a stronger hoppy aftertaste. Palate is creamy and a little tart. Not a bad session brew, but nothing special.

Draft at MBC. Small off-white head that mostly diminished, decent amount of lacing, transparent, visible carbonation, and an orange hue. Nose was hoppy, citrus and grapefruit. Flavor was very hoppy, a little bitter, citrusy and grapefruit. Mouthfeel was smooth and hoppy. Light-medium body. A little too hoppy for my palate.

I’m wondering if I got from a different batch than others here, because mine was actually good. Poured dark bronze with a large tan head. Aroma has a very big hop presence with lots of citrus (orange, grapefruit), some woodiness and light musty malt backing up the hops. Medium body that feels soft and has soft carbonation. Starts briefly with some caramel malt, but that is quickly overtakne by sharp spicy hops with some underlying citrus hops and some citrus-like sweetness. The hops get woodier and more pronounced the further you get down the glass. The shop I got it at said they had just gotten this in, so maybe it has to be VERY fresh to be good.

Thanks to stretch monster in the middle of no-where labor day 2006. Poured cloudier than I expected, but lacked in the hoopiness of the sinus nightmare I feared. Was a refreshing drink with slight bitter finish.

Aroma wasn’t that bad. Smelled kinda hoppy. First sip reveals something terrible. A flavor that I can’t even describe besides calling it horrendous. Steer clear folks.
