hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA Oct 11, 2009 Bottle. Small semi-fizzy light brown head that mostly diminished, fair amount of lacing and an opaque dark brown body. The aroma was very much coffee and burnt malts. The coffee packed a punch in the flavor, malty, some chocolate, and it had a very watery and thin flavor. The mouthfeel was smooth, thin and watery. This is a light bodied stout. Something wrong with this beer...can you say infected? Next! deyholla (506), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Sep 21, 2009 Bottle. Poured black with a dark beige head. Aroma is full of coffee notes as well as an undertone of malt. Flavor seemed a bit watered down but there is a strong mocha flavor still present. A little malty sweetness as well. thedm (3833), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 3, 2009 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a very small sized head of foamy fine to large sized brown colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a opaque typically carbonated black colored body. The aroma was cocoa coffee and dark malt. The semi-thick mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of dark malt and brown malt. A decent one that I would consider buying again. zathrus13 (1288), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA Jul 26, 2009 Pours dark brown, with a brown head. Aroma is coffee and chocolate. You affect me, you infect me,
Im afflicted, youre addicted,
You and me, you and me (Bad Religion – Infected)
Dark brown with a mammoth brown head, slowly fading and foamy. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. Taste of coffee, roasted malts, light chocolate and infection. Creamy palate with mild bitterness and enough infected sourness to go around. Perhaps it might not have been that bad it wasn’t infected, but I’m seeing a trend in the ratings here.
