Tmoney99 (4660), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Sep 28, 2005 Bottle at MBC after band concert brewing. Dark amber color with a moderate white head that diminished slowly with small lacing. Moderate sweet hop aroma. Medium body with creamy texture. Medium flavor with small bitter finish. trappist12 (200), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Sep 22, 2002 They really went wrong with this beer. I believe it is one of the other beer lines with just a slight variation of flavoring added. jskendzel (602), Washington DC, USA Sep 19, 2002 I thought I was drinking plastic for a moment. Something must have gone astray in the fermenter, because the off-flavors were not acceptable. Perhaps it is the hops, but these hops taste like they were grown in my asshole. A good bargain... CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Sep 17, 2002 Picked up two cases for $30 at the brewery. Tastes a bit cidery and uses hops to cover the higher than average alcohol content. It goes down smooth, but the flavors don’t mesh together all that well. An average beer, but definitely worth it at that price. NDmullet (208), South Bend, Indiana, USA Sep 15, 2002 Bottled version. Unimpressive, cloudy golden body and an instantly fading head. There’s a definite citrus aroma, orange, some pinapple and hop resin. I’m not quite sure what they were aiming for here. I think it’s supposed to be an APA, but the result is sort of twisted. This beer reminds me of the not-quite-premium from concentrate orange juice, which tastes a little stale and has an awkward bitterness to it. MBC’s Lake Effect Pale Ale is much better.
