Aug 4, 2005 Straw yellow, no head and lively carbonation. Very light citrus hops, and some wheaty notes. Tasted quite grainy with some hop flavor. Soapy. Nice body. Not much carbonation on the palate. Sweet. Pleasant. Good for the unexpirenced craft beer drinker.

Jul 5, 2005 Transparent gold in color with a short, creamy white head. Muted aroma of potato sacks, horse barley, bananas and pils malt. Flavor reveals more wheat and banana dimensions than expected. Some light citric elements, but this is a classic American Wheat, falling short like nearly all of them do. Thin, light palate feel. Not for me.

Apr 29, 2005 Draft sampler. Served with a lemon slice, of course, American Wheat, but with a bit of a hefeweizen taste to it. Citrusy with a slight banana character. Clear amber. I say it’s okay.

Jun 21, 2003 A filtered wheat, clear medium yellow, thin white head, some lacing, thin-bodied. Lightly yeasty smell, hint of a strange smokeyness and cardboard. Tastes similiar to a standard pale ale but with a little more hint of spice. Fizzy mouthfeel. Finishes dry with that cardboard characteristics appearing again. Not recommended.

May 19, 2003 Very simple and lacking almost any distinctive aromas and flavors. I am not a big fan of American wheats and this is a perfect example of why that is true.

Dec 1, 2002 I came prepared to like this 22ozer...but it was thin and one-dimensionally sweet and phenolic. This AmeriGerman wheat was a real disappointment. Sweet, not even really banana sweet. Bummer, becasue the four horsemen from these guys is great!
