Hazy/cloudy golden color; big creamy head. Good hoppy aroma, quite creamy, sweet but with some resins. The mouthfeel is quite dry and harsh, a bit astringent and with too much yeast, not enough malt flavor, some very ry toffee; and as expected a strong bitterness, harsh. Mixed feelings.

Unclear meduim orange color with a average, creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, grapefruit, fruity, orange - peach. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090612]

Jul 7, 2009 Updated: Jul 8, 2009From Firefly, and my first beer from this "local" (well, within 50 miles) brewery. Poured a hazy amber beneath a modest white head. Aroma was just the hop-fest I’d hoped for. Smashing! Nice bitter hop taste and the mouthfeel was as it should be. Nice IPA.
