| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 19, 2005 On cask at Dix. Light orange colour with a thin white head. Aroma is of Goldings/Challenger, a bit bready, fairly spicy. Flavour has a touch of sweet orange and a bit of herbal character. I don’t get any ginseng aroma really. A bit herbal and spicy flavour as well. Decent as a bitter, but doesn’t have a whole lot of orange/ginseng character. As it warms a touch of bubble gum flavour comes out. Decent brew. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 22, 2005 Cask, at Dix Slightly hazy copper. Flowery, orangey aroma. Light, creamy body. Some fluffy biscuity malts and light spice. Refreshing. A touch light overall - I’d like to see those fruity, floral notes more assertive, maybe with a kiss of Centennial or something to throw a new dimension in there and add some crispness.
