marcus (1179), Sacramento, California, USA Jun 27, 2008 This clear golden ale poured with a modest off-white head and a sweet malty aroma. There is a sense of drinking apple juice, although there is a substantial malt base and a hoppy finish.
LtDan (148), Greater Los Angeles Area, California, USA Dec 13, 2008 Appearance- A clear golden yellow, light visable rising carbonation. The head starts at about an inch and quickly subsides to nothing.
Aroma: Very faint levels of malt.
Taste: Bready malt, some well hidden fruitiness, and ends like a light-pale lager.
Mouthfeel- Really thin, and crisp.
Overall- I would pass on this beer unless it was in someones cold ice chest. The other two Mission Street Beers, the Pale and IPA are fantastic, so please do not stop at this one. Not bad at all. bb (2320), Martinez, California, USA Sep 23, 2008 Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Malt and light spice aroma. Pours a clear deep gold with 2 finger off-white head and spotty lacing. Nose is sweet grains and light hops. Taste is similar – sweet grain, malt and a mild hop finish. Medium mouth feel. Nothing mind boggling, but nice and refreshing on this hot summer day. elnadeau (786), Laguna Niguel, California, USA Jul 19, 2008 Bottle from Trader Joe’s. Gold pour with a decent head, light sweet malty aroma, a bit of hop in the background. Flavor is somewhat sweet, bready malt, some light fruit with a good hop balance. Body is moderate which is a pleasant suprise considering the abv, finish is crisp and balanced. A nice, very drinkable summer session ale, will plan to have some on hand for my BMC swilling in-laws.
