Poured from bottle a slightly hazy light yellow with medium white head with big bubbles and good lacing. Aroma is mild with floral hops and toast. Flavor has a bitter floral hoppiness with little sweetness. It starts crisp and mild but does grow bitter and a bit harsh over time. Palate is dry with too little carbonation for my tastes. Overall, ok, but could be better given the starting taste.

Bottle at Trader Joe’s - Cincy. Poured a clear copper color with an average creamy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate earthy hop and malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met at a Trader Joes price.

12oz bottle purchased from Trader Joes ($5.99 a sixer = nice). Pours a bright, clear honey-golden color; thin off-white head with patchy, mixed-bubbled lacing; brilliant color. Dense, generously hopped aroma: citrus (plenty of grapefruit), minerals, and a touch of earthiness; very nicely bitter and dank nose; mouthwatering. Medium mouthfeel: solid carbonation; more balanced presentation than the aroma suggests: citrus and mineral notes, still quite juicy, matched to a core of light sugar and toasty malts; just enough sharpness to keep you awake; very solid and very drinkable pale ale. I really do enjoy the way Firestone Walker makes pale ales and IPAs (everything aside from the Nectar IPA so far, which could have just been an older bottling). Medium finish: minerals, some citrus, and toasted notes.

12oz bottle 12/2/09 (Trader Joe’s-Naperville)-Pours a hazy goldenish amber with a small white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and slight spices. Taste of the same with a bit more citrus and some malt coming through. This medium bodied brew is not bad but for the price. Nice job.

Thanksgiving at Colleen and Mikes. Light amber and fluffy head. Light citrus fruity nose. Light fruity malty taste. Bit of bitterness follows. Nothing spectacular.

Pale amber-gold pour with thin white head. The nose is really nice. A light citrusy nose, some grapefruit and light spice with a kiss of soft cookie dough sweetness. The hops are really nicely integrated with the malt and it has a lovely touch of hop spiciness as well. Man, this stuff is really nice, especially at this price.

Pale yellow color with a very minimal aroma. Sweet citrus with a lingering bitter flavor.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thin white head, with some attractive lacing, over a slightly cloudy dark yellow (SRM 5) body....nose of light pine, bit of grapefruit....taste initially is light sweet malts, biscuit, bread, then floral hops, finishing with a light bitterness.....mouth feel is light to medium, carbonation medium. The hop florality is an unexpected feature of this beer.

Gold pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma has quite a bit of citrus and caramel. Flavor is pretty nice. Grapefruit dominates with a good supporting malt bill.
