Jan 6, 2008 Updated: Feb 22, 2008Decent at best. Coffee is the main taste in it, and it sort of clouds every thing else. I guess technically a black & tan does come out to kind of a porter, but this is pretty sweet tasting. Worth the $3 for the cool a$$ bottle however.

Pours a deep amber brown with an average sized smooth tan head that leaves some nice shelved lacing. Aroma is nutty with some nice toffee and roasted malt notes. Flavours of roasted malts, some chocolate, caramel and a slightly sour hop character. Texture is a tiny bit on the watery end of things, but I can attribute that to the "Tan" end of things.

Dec 30, 2007 I love the 32oz. moonshine jug this beer came in...awesome. I drank right from the bottle, so I didn’t really get a good look at the head. Aroma and flavor very malty, tasted of caramel and chocolate. On the heavier side for a black and tan. Overall I really enjoyed this beer.

Dec 18, 2007 Red to dark brown in color with an ok head. Malty aromas and flavors but not very balanced. Taste is weak for my taste and for the style. Leave the mixing to the bartenders.

Dec 14, 2007 Pours a medium dark ale colour, lots of head, but the bubbles were a bit big and it lacked staying power. Nose had an odd sourness to it. Taste was creamy (hinted of a Guinness) but not much else. Not offensive but not interesting either.
