| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 19, 2006 Bottle: Poured a dark amber color ale with a huge slightly of-white foamy head with good retention. Aroma of weak sweet malt with a very subtle touch of bitter hops. Taste is sweet with a weak malt presence and not much hops. Watery body and overall a very uninteresting beer. wunderbier (1267), Tampere, Finland
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 10, 2006 Tall, cappuccino-esque frothy tan head recedes quickly atop a clear, amber-red beer. Aromas of roasted, chocolate and pale malts with a touch of red raisins and light floral and spicy hop notes. Dusty yeast tones lead to a medicinal, almost solvent like, odor. Lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter to start. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. The acidity is slightly sour (though I don’t think the beer is off) and there is a moderate astringency. Flavors (weaker than the aroma) fall off quickly and only leave a husky, grainy finish behind. The aftertaste actually starts to resemble pennies and corn husks after a while. Light to medium body, watery texture, below average carbonation. Pint bottle, nonic glass. And to think, soon we’ll be able to enjoy this fine beverage in a full, 32 oz serving. Fantabulous. jonkix (13), California, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 31, 2006 Dark clear copper, big foamy tan head. Aromas of caramel and a little chocolate, slightly metallic until the head recedes a little. Roasted malt flavours, light bodied with a very crisp finish. A little different, but not bad. jeffc666 (1892), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Mar 26, 2006 Clear filtered nut brown body topped by a quickly diminishing light tan head that laces the glass nicely. Does not look half bad. Tha aroma is not so good. Roasted malts, metal, even some adjuncts? The flavor is about the same, a bit of an odd metal/garbage flavor counters the straight-up nuttiness. Thin palate. A pure marketing beer if there ever was one. warriorx99 (85), USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 17, 2006 Pours dark brown with a red tint to it. This medium bodied b&t has a roasty taste that is, as others has mentioned, somewhat metallic The taste disappears into nothing. Tastes better than mud. mcnally (114), Burbank, California, USA

There is not any porter in this beer that I can taste. It has an amber color with a decent frothy head. A bit one dimensional taste.
