Commercial Description:
Dating back to 18th century England, the custom of blending pale and dark beers has kept the "Black & Tan" a favorite of experienced beer drinkers for centuries. Our famous recipe combines a robust English Porter with a fine Continental Pilsner, preserving the character of each, while creating the classic taste of the legendary "Black & Tan." In true American style, we bring you the best of both beers as they meet in Mississippi Mud.

Aroma of weird malts, soy, very strong. Brown, weird color. Maltry flavor, watery. Props for the cool bottle.

Ah, the mud, I enjoy the taste very much, nice and nutty, and the brewing process has rendered this beer a classic, nothing etrxa special, but a decent beer nonetheless.

Pours well, very thick. Nutty taste, pleasant after taste... Not a bad brew at all, infact I will have another. I have decide, that this is an excellent B&T save for the bottle, dont really like the little crock sytle bottles.

This beer is neither black nor tan, it is kind of a brownish-cola color, like soiled drawers. Tastes better than that though... not much better. Very flat tasting and kind of like a root beer suck-on candy. Not even that good.

Pours chocolate with a tan head. Aromas of hops, malt, and nuts. Flavor is nutty, malty and toasty. Palate is medium-bodied.

I tell my friends that this is a refreshing brew, and they think I’m strange. It’s a truly smooth drink, the two brews blended excellently. Brownish, near amber in color, it has a light tan head that dissipates quickly. This fills the mouth nicely with a rich but not overbearing malt, hints of chocolate... a clean roasted feel. Slides down very easily. Clean finish. And, it comes in a wide mouthed bottle that is great if you have no beer glasses available.

Light tan head that was huge when I poured it out. The color of the body is a very dark amber. If this is a porter, it is very light colored for the style. The aroma is like light coffee and a little bit of cola. The taste is iced tea with a little bit of grass. A decent session brew that is nothing very exciting. Great bottle, though.
