Sweet, earthy taste that quickly fades. Almost a bit metallic and watery finish. As many others have said, it’s drinkable enough and does come in a cool jug. The aroma keeps me coming back, The appearance is great and full of color in a frosty mug. I serve at room temp and place it slowly down the side of a frosty mug). To low a temp will kill the many great flavors and the snap at the end. As for the palate, a bit playfull, full body with a creamy smoooth slide. :-)
As for overall impression, I purchased 2 cases just to be sure I have some on hand. V/R Kent M. Whitney Master Chief, USN Retired

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 23, 2009 Jug: Poured a brown with a reddish tint to the edges, head is a creamy off white. The aroma is a mix of grass, cardboard, light skunk butt, and malt. Taste is bubblegum, malts, and a bit harvest tint at the end. TKA300 (100), Carbondale, Illinois, USA

I wasn’t exactly expecting much when I paid $3 for a quart of beer that came in a jug-like bottle. It was more of a joke at the start, but actually was alright. The taste was pretty full and robust, and actually extremely tolerable. But once the aftertaste set in, it got ugly. A little sharp on the throat, and didn’t really go down as smooth as I would hope. When it comes to black and tans, I’ll stick to Guinness and Harp. beerchugger (307), Colorado, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 12, 2009 Pours a dark amber color with minimal head formation. Smells of lightly roasted malts. A rather thin body that seems rather watery. Very ’drinkable’. Cavie (1490), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 12, 2009 Pretty rose appearance, very little head. Smells like a nice brown ale with sweet notes. Light mouthfeel. Sweet notes of a porter mixed with the lighter body of a pilsner. Sweet aftertaste that doesn’t linger. Better than expected, and what a COOL bottle! War4soccer (115), , Nevada, USA
