Commercial Description:
A beer created in collaboration with Latvian rock band Prāta vētra, based on the old recipe from Jānis Jubalts’ father’s recipe book. Together with a classic hops and malt scent, the velvety, mild taste and distinct caramel aroma of Mītavas beer gives this variety a characteristic and unique scent combination.

Bottled in Jurmala. Deep golden. Aroma of cardboard and rotting fruits. Sugary sweer with some caramel. Lots of wet paper, no bitternss. Substandard industry lager.

Thanks to Pål for bringing a 500ml bottle back from Riga. Compact, white head that fades slowly, while leaving lacework on the glassware. Golden-brown body. Light struck of sweet, pale malt in aroma with notes of dried fruits. Earthy malts in flavour developing into hints of caramel slightly sharpened by a weak touch of tart fruits. Soft carbonated. A bit bland in the mouth, however, over par for a pale lager. Food friendly (at home, Tromsø 10.10.2009).

Bottle 0,5L: Thanx to Knut Albert!!! Clear red colour, with a nice creamy head. Aroma of grainy, hay and lots of malts, and fruity. Flavor is watery (werry thin) that was a bit disepoiting, for the aroma was so nice. Smouth mouth feeling and a short bitter finish.

500 ml bottle. From Latvia. Light amber colour with nice thin white head. Very weak malty aroma with some toffee and berries. Easy-to-drink, a bit metallic and kind of sweet and fruity flavour. Nothing special.

Dark yellow colored with little yellow head. Baltic aroma with lots of butter and malty sweetness with cardboard. Medium bodied. Flavor is strongly sweet with still same butter dominating, aftertaste lasts with sweet honey. Well, hard to miss these Baltic ones.

0.5 l bottle. Deep golden color with small head. Sweetish, honeyish, bready, worty, toffeish and caramelly aroma. More sweet toffee, caramel, bread and honey in the flavor along with hints of metal. Rounded and full bodied palate. This tastes a bit old although BB date is two months ahead, reminds of old wet bread.

500ml Bottle - Golden/amber in colour with a foamy head. Bready aroma with yeast and malt and a light sweetness. Malty and mildly sweet taste with more bready notes. Drinkable but not much to write home about.
