Commercial Description:
Mitchell's has two locations that are nowadays unrelated and the beers taste differently. The bottles look identical, but the label states if it's brewed in Cape Town or Knysna. The beers from the brewery in Knysna is only distributed to the Garden Route (from Mossel Bay to Port Elizabeth), and to a few places inland from there. The Cape Town brewery supplies the rest of Soth Africa.

1litre brown polycarbonate bottle. Abv as stated on the label 4,3%. Pours amber yellow with minimal white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is malt, yeast and sweet melon (?!). Malty, floral hops and fruity flavour - melon comes to mind, not unpleasant mind you, just a bit weird in a lager. Medium bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation. A well made, drinkable lager (once you get over that quite peculiar melon flavour).
