Commercial Description:
Our least bitter beer. Hefe is unfiltered, which gives it a cloudy, opaque appearance. Wheat malt contributes to a tart finish. An American wheat ale served unfiltered. Leaving the yeast and b-complex vitamins in the glass.

On tap at the brewery on 7/13/09. Pours hazy yellow, little head. Nothing special about the aroma, with only the slightest hint of banana. Pretty bland flavor with just a little touch of vanilla. Though not bitter, still pretty dry.

Tap at Moab Brewery. Hazy yellow body, with a small white head. Aroma is fruit, citrus and nootes of wheat. Flavor is the same.

A strangely underwhelming Hef. Not offensive, but certainly not pleasing. Bland notes of wheat, flour... and that’s about it.

Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Moab, Utah. Cloudy, medium yellow pour with a thick white head, a light lemongrass nose, a bit of candy sugar and a nice citrusy flavor that unfortunately peters out very quickly owing to the 3.2, and a weak finish. Meh.

On tap at the brewpub in Moab. Pours a cloudy orange with a medium white head. The aroma is full of wheat and...well that lemon they put in there. The taste was more on the wheat side than citrus, which was fine with me. Also, some orange peel and some yeast. A good hefe.

On tap at brewery. Normally not a big American Hefe fan, but for these guys, it serrves them well. This may be one of their only beers with some real body...as its unfiltered! Sharp citrus notes (added to with the lemon they serve this with), tiny hints at wheat, and a lot of carbonation. Okay.

on tap-pours a white head that laces and cloudy yellow color. Aroma is wheat. Taste is wheat, secondary yeast, spicy/earthy hops. OK effervescence.

Poured a thin, hazy straw color with a puffy, thin, white head. The nose had a meager amount of lemon and a touch of yeast sweetness and wheat character. The taste started with biscut, some wheaty sweetness and tangy yeast. There’s a light bitter quality throughout which adds a nice balance to the brew. This was a nice, enjoyable, light bodied, American style Hef.
